  • Obligations:
    1. Comply with aspects:
      - Technical safety

    2. Update required documents as technical requirements

    3. Implement a culture of safety and security
      Duration: In accordance with the Ministry/Agency's provisions
    4. In case of:
      • Expiration of the primary business classification of radioactive by-product minerals
      • Dissolution of the legal entity/business holding the permit
      • Insolvency of the legal entity/business holding the permit based on a legally binding court decision
      • Facility storage can no longer accommodate radioactive by-product minerals, the permit holder may, without waiting for the expiration of the radioactive by-product mineral storage permit, do the following:
        • Transfer the radioactive by-product minerals to another party for processing, utilization, or storage
        • Transfer radioactive by-product minerals to another party for permanent disposal. The transfer of radioactive by-product minerals to another party must obtain approval from the Regulatory Body

    5. If the Radioactive By-Product Mineral (MIR) Storage Permit Holder intends to make permanent disposal, they must have a business permit
      Duration: In accordance with the Ministry/Agency's provisions
    6. The Radioactive By-Product Mineral (MIR) Storage Permit Holder may carry out:
      • Processing
      • Utilization
      • Transfer
      Duration: In accordance with the Ministry/Agency's provisions
    7. The Radioactive By-Product Mineral (MIR) Storage Permit Holder may choose to:
      • Process MIR to extract uranium and thorium
      • Process MIR to extract elements other than uranium and thorium. When conducting processing, the Radioactive By-Product Mineral (MIR) Storage Permit Holder must have a business permit
      Duration: In accordance with the Ministry/Agency's provisions
    8. If MIR is to be used for other activities, the Radioactive By-Product Mineral (MIR) Storage Permit Holder must seek approval from the Regulatory Body
      Duration: In accordance with the Ministry/Agency's provisions
