Capture fisheries

This group includes the activity of "fish capture," which involves hunting, capturing wild aquatic organisms that are still alive (primarily all types of fish, mollusks, and crustaceans), including seaweed, coastal plants, or underwater plants for consumption or other purposes, captured either by hand or using various types of fishing gear such as nets, and other fishing equipment. These activities can be carried out in tidal areas near the coastline (e.g., mollusks such as clams and oysters), near the coast using nets, or using boats, generally in the nearshore sea, coastal waters, or open sea.
