This category includes auxiliary activities for preparing raw minerals and ores for marketing, such as crushing, grinding, cleaning, drying, sorting, beneficiation and concentration of metal ores, liquefaction of natural gas. Mining activities are classified into main groups, classes, and subgroups based on the principal minerals produced. Main groups 05, 06 relate to the mining and extraction of fossil fuels (coal, lignite, petroleum, gas); main groups 07, 08 relate to metal ores, various minerals, and minerals. Some technical operations in this category, especially those related to the extraction of hydrocarbons, may also be performed for third parties by specialized units as industrial services, as reflected in main group 09.
