Other Human Health Services Activities

This subgroup includes: - Activities related to public health not provided by hospitals or medical doctors or dentists, such as nursing, midwifery, pharmacy, public health, environmental health, nutrition, physical therapy, medical technology, biomedical engineering, traditional healthcare, clinical psychology, and other healthcare professionals. These activities can be carried out in health clinics affiliated with companies, schools, nursing homes, labor organizations, fraternal organizations, or healthcare facilities outside of hospitals, including private consultation rooms, patients' homes, or other locations. These activities do not involve medical treatment or care. - Individual dental healthcare activities, such as dental health therapy, school dental nurses, and dental attendants, who can work independently but are periodically supervised by dentists. - Medical laboratory and blood examination laboratory activities. - Stem cell processing laboratories. - Pharmaceutical warehousing. - Blood transfusion units (Blood Banks). - Eye banks, sperm banks, organ transplant banks, cell and tissue banks. - Optical services. - Ambulance transportation for patients using various modes of transportation, including aircraft, typically provided in emergency situations. This subgroup does not include: - The manufacturing of dentures and prosthetic equipment, dental and oral health by dental laboratories, see 3250. - Patient transportation, whether without safety equipment or medical personnel, see major groups 49, 50, 51. - Non-medical laboratory testing activities, see 7120. - Food hygiene testing activities, see 7120. - Hospital activities, see 8610. - Medical and dental practice activities, see 8620. - In-facility care activities, see 8710.
