This subgroup includes activities that allow others to use non-financial assets where royalty payments or licensing fees are paid to the asset holder. The use of these assets can take various forms, such as reproduction rights, usage in processes or production, operating a business under a franchise system, and more. The asset owner may or may not have created these assets. It covers: - Operational leasing without option rights for intangible intellectual property (excluding copyright works such as books or software). - Receipt of royalties or licensing fees for the use of items like patented entities, trademarks and service marks, brand names, mineral exploration rights, franchise agreements, and other intangible intellectual property.
