Venture Capital Companies
This subgroup includes venture capital businesses, which engage in activities such as financing through equity participation and/or financing for a specified period to support the development of business partners or borrowers. They also manage venture capital funds, offer fee-based services, and conduct other business activities with the approval of the Financial Services Authority (Otoritas Jasa Keuangan or OJK). These venture capital operations can be carried out conventionally or based on Sharia principles. Venture capital activities are undertaken by conventional venture capital companies, Sharia venture capital companies, and Sharia venture capital business units, all of which are regulated and supervised by the OJK.
