This subgroup includes: - Processing and preserving crustaceans and mollusks, such as freezing, drying, smoking, salting, pickling, canning, and others. - Production of products from crustaceans and mollusks, such as cooked items, fillets, eggs. - Production of meal from other aquatic organisms for human or animal consumption. - Production of meat and parts of other aquatic organisms not intended for human consumption. - Activities of vessels used solely for the processing and preservation of other aquatic organisms. - Seaweed processing. This subgroup does not include: - Processing of whales on land or on specialized vessels, see 1013. - Activities of vessels used solely for the processing and preservation of other aquatic organisms, see 1021. - Production of oils and fats from marine materials, see 1049. - Processing of frozen fish meals, see 1075. - Fish soup industry, see 1079.
