Forestry Management and Logging.
This main group includes the production of roundwood for the manufacturing industries based on forest products (Main Groups 16 and 17) as well as the extraction and collection/gathering of non-wood forest products that grow in the wild. In addition to timber production, forestry activities produce minimally processed products such as firewood, charcoal, wood chips, and roundwood used in unprocessed forms (e.g., pit-props, pulpwood, etc.). These activities can be carried out in natural forests or plantations.
