Responsibilities

• Install a water meter on the outlet pipe of the borehole/dig;

• Comply with the provisions stated in the Groundwater Business Permit;

• Provide access to PATGTL (Groundwater Management and Control Authority) and other relevant agencies to inspect the boreholes/digs managed;

• Construct infiltration wells/boreholes according to guidelines issued by PATGTL;

• Submit monthly measurements of groundwater levels, results of water quality analysis every 6 months, and monthly groundwater extraction rates each year to PATGTL (for medium and large business groups);

• Protect and preserve the sustainability of groundwater;

• Restore environmental damage caused by groundwater utilization activities;

• Provide compensation to the local community if groundwater utilization activities cause harm to the surrounding community;

• Provide a positive response in the event of social unrest in the community around groundwater utilization activities;

• Report to the Head of PATGTL if anything is found that may endanger the environment during groundwater extraction;
