Requirements
- For small-scale fishermen:
- Include the Business Licensing number for the Fish Catching sub-sector to be used for fish aggregating devices (FADs).
- Sea location permit for FADs to be placed within the Territory of the Republic of Indonesia's Fishery Management Area.
- FAD utilization plan, which includes:
- Number of FADs.
- Technical specifications of each FAD.
- Coordinates of the central point of FAD (latitude and longitude).
- Fishing gear.
- Estimate of utilization frequency.
- Estimate of the type and quantity of fish caught in kilograms.

- For non-small-scale fishermen:
- Fishery Business Permit.
- Business Licensing for the Fish Catching sub-sector for FAD Installation Permit applied for after the issuance of the Business Licensing for the Fish Catching sub-sector.
- Previous Business Licensing for the Fish Catching sub-sector for FAD Installation Permit applied for concurrently with the extension of the Business Licensing for the Fish Catching sub-sector.
- Fishing Vessel Book for FAD Installation Permit applied for concurrently with the Business Licensing for the Fish Catching sub-sector.
- Water area permit.
- FAD utilization plan, which includes:
- Number of FADs.
- Technical specifications of each FAD.
- Coordinates of the central point of FAD (latitude and longitude).
- Fishing gear.
- Estimate of utilization frequency.
- Estimate of the type and quantity of fish caught in kilograms.

- Place FADs within 60 calendar days from the issuance of the FAD Installation Permit.
