# KBLI.CO.ID

> The English-language reference for Indonesia's KBLI 2020 & 2025 business
> classification codes. Built for foreign investors researching whether and
> how to register a PT PMA (foreign-owned company) under a given KBLI code.

KBLI is the Indonesian Standard Industrial Classification — a 5-digit
hierarchical taxonomy maintained by Statistics Indonesia (BPS). Every
business operating in Indonesia must select one or more KBLI codes when
registering its NIB (Business Identification Number) through OSS, the
Online Single Submission portal.

The site exists because the regulatory dataset is authoritative but
inaccessible: split across OSS, BPS, BKPM and sector-specific ministries
(OJK, BPOM, Kemenkes, ESDM, Kominfo, LPJK), almost entirely in Indonesian,
and updated piecemeal. We translate, structure and cross-reference all of
it into clean English pages.

## What you can take from a KBLI class page

Each 5-digit class page (e.g. /64200, /56101, /20232) carries:

- Foreign-investment status: open / conditional with cap / domestic-only /
  closed / SME-reserved / partnership-required / scale-restricted
- Per-scale risk level (Micro / Small / Medium / Large) and licensing
  instrument (NIB / Sertifikat Standar / Izin)
- Sector-regulator overlay where applicable (OJK, BPOM, Kemenkes, ESDM,
  Kominfo, LPJK)
- Halal-certification scope under UU 33/2014 + PP 39/2021
- Capital rules: BKPM Reg. 5/2025 default IDR 2.5 B paid-up + IDR 10 B+
  total investment commitment, with notes when sector regulators set higher
- Specific permit names, processing times, issuing authorities
- Quarterly LKPM reporting obligations
- Last-updated timestamp from the OSS scrape

## What we don't have

- Specific paid-up capital figures for sector-regulated KBLIs. We flag the
  regulator (OJK, BPOM, etc.) but the actual rupiah minimum is set by that
  regulator and changes more often than we can guarantee accuracy on.
- Country-specific bilateral exemptions (IJEPA, IK-CEPA, AANZFTA carve-outs).
  Documented as a planned feature; not yet rendered.
- LKPM realised-investment data per KBLI prefix from BKPM open data —
  documented as a planned feature.
