Professional Organization Activities

This subgroup includes: - Activities of organizations whose interests are centered on specific fields of knowledge or professional practice, or technical fields, such as medical associations, legal associations, accounting associations, engineering associations, architectural associations, and others. - Activities of special associations or associations related to cultural activities, such as writers' associations, painters' associations, performers' associations, journalists' associations, and others. - Dissemination of information, enforcement and monitoring of practice standards, representation before government bodies, and public relations by professional organizations. This subgroup also includes: - Activities of scholarly societies. This subgroup does not include: - Education provided by these organizations, see major group 85.
