87Residential-Based Care Activities

The provision of residential-based activities combined with nursing, supervision, or other care required by the residents of the institution. The care provided within the institution is a combination of social and health services, with health services being a higher level of care. Care activities may be provided for residents on a temporary basis. This division also includes the activities of residential care centers (providing regular residential care in premises specially constructed or adapted for certain target groups). Units are classified according to the target group (children under three years of age, the elderly, people with physical disabilities, etc.).
