Employer-Sponsored Pension Funds

This subgroup includes employer-sponsored pension fund businesses, which involve managing pension funds established by individuals or entities that employ employees as founders to administer defined benefit pension programs or defined contribution pension programs for the benefit of some or all of their employees as participants. These programs create obligations for the employers and can be conducted conventionally or based on Sharia principles. Employer-sponsored pension fund activities are carried out by conventional employer-sponsored pension funds, Sharia-compliant employer-sponsored pension funds, and Sharia-compliant units of employer-sponsored pension funds, all of which are regulated and supervised by the Financial Services Authority (Otoritas Jasa Keuangan or OJK).
