The main group covers the activities of creating or acquiring content for broadcasts and then airing it, such as radio, television, and entertainment, news, talk, and similar programming. This group also includes data broadcasting, typically integrated with radio or TV broadcasting. Broadcasting can be done using different technologies, including over-the-air, via satellite, through cable networks, or over the internet. This main group also includes program production, typically providing basic information to specific audiences with limited formats, such as news, sports, education, or programs intended for a young audience, on a subscription or fee basis to third parties, for subsequent broadcast to the public. This main group does not include subscription programming with or without cable (see main group 61).
