Site Preparation

This subgroup includes site preparation for subsequent construction activities. It encompasses: - Clearing land used for construction. - Land excavation, such as digging, landfill, leveling of construction sites, ditch digging, excavation, removal, rock crushing, and similar activities. - Excavation, drilling, and sampling for construction, geophysical, geological, or similar purposes. - Land preparation for mining, including earthmoving, development, and mineral property preparation, excluding oil and gas mining land. - Construction of drainage systems on the land. - Land drainage for agricultural or forestry purposes. This subgroup does not include: - Oil drilling or gas well drilling, see 0610, 0620. - Test drilling and exploration drilling for non-oil and gas mining operations, see 0990. - Soil decontamination, see 3900. - Water well drilling, see 4220. - Shaft sinking, see 4390. - Surveys and exploration of oil and gas fields, geophysics, geology, and seismic activities, see 7110.
