Treatment and Disposal of Hazardous Waste This subgroup includes the treatment and disposal of hazardous solid or non-solid waste, as well as specific waste types, including materials that are easily explosive, easily oxidizable, easily flammable, toxic, irritant, carcinogenic, corrosive, materials that can cause infections, and other substances and preparations that are hazardous to human health and the environment. This subgroup includes: - Operation of facilities for the disposal of hazardous waste and specific waste. - Treatment and disposal of toxic and other contaminated animal and plant waste. - Incineration of hazardous waste and specific waste, treatment, disposal, and storage of radioactive and nuclear waste, such as treatment and disposal of transuranic radioactive waste, including decay during the waste disposal period; packaging, preparation, and other treatment of nuclear waste for storage. This subgroup does not include: - Reprocessing of nuclear fuel, see 2011. - Incineration of non-hazardous waste, see 3821. - Decontamination, soil and water cleaning; toxin reduction, see 3900.
