Procurement and Distribution of Natural and Synthetic Gas

This subgroup covers the processing of gas and the distribution of natural or artificial/synthetic gas to consumers through pipeline systems, marketers, or gas agents who sell natural gas through distribution systems operated by others. It does not include the separate operation of gas pipeline networks, especially those over long distances, connecting producers with gas distributors or between urban centers, which are classified under pipeline transport or other pipeline transportation activities. This subgroup includes: - Production of gas for supply purposes or gas supply with coal carbonization, from agricultural by-products, or waste. - Gas fuel industry with specific calorific value, through purification, blending, and other processes of various gases, including natural gas. - Transportation, distribution, and supply of all types of gas fuels through pipeline systems. - Gas trading to consumers through pipelines. - Gas agency activities that manage gas trading through gas distribution systems operated by others. - Operation of commodity exchanges and gas fuel transportation capacity.
