These machines, to ensure their efficient operation and for the prevention of breakdowns and non-essential repairs, are covered here. This division includes only specialized repair and maintenance activities. A significant amount of repair is also carried out by manufacturers of machinery, equipment, and other goods, in which case the classification of units engaged in these repair and industrial activities is based on the value-added principle, which often defines combined activities for goods manufacturing. The same principle applies to combined trade and repair activities. Remanufacturing of machinery and equipment is considered an industrial activity and is included in another division in category C. Repair and maintenance of goods used for capital goods and consumer goods is classified as household repair and maintenance (such as repair of office and household furniture, see subdivision 9524). This division also includes specialized installation of machinery.
