This group includes the processing of wood and timber from sawmilling to further processes, the manufacture of wooden railway sleepers, unassembled wooden flooring, wood wool, wood flour, wood chips, and wood particles. It also includes the drying and chemical processing of wood and the impregnation of wood with preservatives made from other materials. This group does not include sawmilling and rough wood production (see 022), the manufacture of thin veneer sheets used in plywood, boards, and panels, shingles and shakes, beading, and molding wood.
