Marine Fish Hatchery

This group includes efforts in hatchery operations (production of broodstock, eggs, larvae, and ready-to-release seeds) for finfish, mollusks, crustaceans, echinoderms, and other marine aquatic biota using seawater as the medium. This encompasses the cultivation of species such as grouper fingerlings, white snapper fingerlings, tilapia fingerlings, lobster fingerlings, abalone seeds, pearl oyster seeds, blood clam seeds, sea cucumber juveniles, and seaweed seedlings (encompassing all types of seaweed). It also includes the cultivation of algae for bioenergy and other non-food purposes. Excluded from this category are hatchery operations for marine ornamental fish.
